Transparency

Transparency

Democracy requires transparency on all levels of government.  This includes the District Attorney's Office.  The District Attorney has the power to make decisions that affect all of us.  The only way that citizens can ensure that this power is being used correctly is for the D.A’s office to be transparent whenever possible.  It is undemocratic and unwise for a D.A. to shut out the press because he can not handle criticism.  Nonetheless, that is exactly what the current District Attorney has done.  As District Attorney, Joe will honor democratic norms and ensure that the D.A.’s Office operates with the highest degree of transparency possible.
